KPS v. Magherafelt PS 3:1

4th Apr 2014
KPS v. Magherafelt PS 3:1

Today saw our school soccer team turn out once again at home this week against Magherafelt PS.  After a slow start to the game Callum Speirs got the scoring off to a great start with two goals in short succession, one as the result of a bad tackle on Connor Spillane. The third goal for Knockloughrim was a penalty taken by Reuben Bell (Cpt.) and came following a bad tackle in the box. Magherafelt didn't sit on their laurels however and during the second half came back fighting strong with several super shots saved by 'Golden Gloves' Richard Hawe. However, following a misguided pass by Knockloughrim within our own half Magherafelt took full advantage and scored the final goal of the match leaving the score 3:1 to Knockloughrim. Many thanks to all our friends and family who came along to support our players today. Our next match of the season will be at home once again against St. Brigid's on Friday 2nd May, Kick off 2pm.
