Anderson Shelter Project
12th Mar 2021
Look at these wonderful creations!
We have been learning that Anderson Shelters were used for protection during the air raids/ The Blitz. They were made from corrugated iron and were often located in the garden. Vegetables were planted on top so that from the air the gardens wouldn’t look any different.
P5/6 researched about Anderson shelters, designed their shelter and built them at home. Then they completed the waterproof and weight test by seeing if a Lego man can stay dry inside the shelter and if 1KG weight could stay upright on it.
Thank you to everyone for your hard work! 😃
