KPS joins Easyfundraising.org.uk
Knockloughrim Primary School has joined forces with the nations largest charity giving website EasyGiving.co.uk to help raise funds to maintain our school resources and equipment.
What is wonderful about easyfundraising is that it is absolutely free to us and for our parents and supporters and a very quick and simple way to raise funds for our school. The website is simple to use and can be saved as your homepage as a reminder to use whenever you shop or even search online.
Funds are raised in a very simple way. Supporters register to help Knockloughrim Primary School and whenever they shop through the site with any of the 2,700 retailers listed on easyfundraising.org.uk, the retailer gives a small percentage of what’s been spent back to the good cause to say thank you for shopping with them. The pennies donated from each online purchase soon turn into pounds.
Many high street names are now involved including Amazon, Asda, eBay and Tesco giving causes and supporters a great opportunity to raise funds.
The company was set up by Ian Woodroffe, a former telecoms account manager, who, while recovering from cancer, wanted to use the boom in internet shopping to help cash strapped charities generate much needed funds. “I am delighted Knockloughrim Primary School has signed up to easyfundraising he said. We send best wishes in raising funds for your school and maintaining it as a valuable local community focused school, "Where happy children grow!”
