Knockloughrim Primary School was selected to be one of 30 schools from all over Northern Ireland to be included in a Poetry in Motion project this year, funded by The Seamus Heaney Award. Local published poet Pamela Brown (now a resident of Co. Donegal) dropped into school today as part of the project and worked with our Year 7 children on writing a group poem. Next week our children will be travelling to St. Brigid's PS to work collaboratively with Pamela and our friends there. Also as part of the project our children will have poems published in March and read at a gala event in the Ulster Hall, Belfast.
